Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the development and administration of: mergers and acquisition transitioning; organizational structure and development; compensation structures; benefits programs; compliance and reporting functions; performance management and organization feedback; training and professional development; employee relations and culture building; employee recruitment and retention; diversity and affirmative action processes.
  • Provides leadership and consulting support to senior management on matters of goals setting, policy development, and strategic implementation in support of achieving corporate objectives and business growth.
  • Provides strategic support to senior management in areas of: linking business unit/operation strategies; coaching the operation through organization, regulatory and business issues; coaching business partners to create and maintain a work environment with high morale and productivity.
  • Works with management team to define workforce and hiring plans and drives recruiting staff to develop strategy for recruiting top caliber employees. Responsible for the supervision of HR department employee(s), and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's policies and applicable laws, ensuring adherence to EEOC guidelines
  • Creates, coordinates and administers training programs which will help to continually improve productivity of all departments throughout the company. Creates, coordinates, and administers compensation programs. Maintains current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding human resources
  • Oversees payroll processing functions and employment processes
  • Assures audit compliance and procedure quality control through the writing, development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures and other related infrastructure documentation; recommends improvements and corrective actions to increase efficiency and improve productivity; and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.

Experience requirements:

  • 5 or more years of progressively responsible experience with employee relations and recruiting experience required; experience with recruiting banking professionals preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
  • Experience working in an organization with at least 50 employees.
  • Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action legislation and other legal aspects of Human Resources.
  • Ability to select and utilize the most appropriate method to source qualified candidates.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to build consensus across diverse teams across all levels of the Bank and achieve results through the effort of others.
  • Proven ability to manage conflict and the courage to challenge organizational thinking.
  • Strategic and problem-solving mindset with developed analytical ability.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines (employee relations, performance, recruitment, compensation, training, benefits, etc.)
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations
  • Clear, concise, direct, and respectful verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid technology skills, including intermediate proficiency with Microsoft office (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and banking software applications.
